CDC – Improving Cause of Death Reporting

While working as a Web Developer / Designer for the CDC / National Center for Health Statistics / Office of Information Services (OIS) at the headquarters in Hyattsville, MD I produced this E-Learning training for “Improving Cause of Death Reporting” for the the National Vital Statistics System. Intended to instruct and improve cause of death reporting by heathcare providers. The training includes graded quizzes, audio narration, as well as various animations including instruction on how to properly fill out the cause of death reporting documents.

Task

I was tasked with creating an E-Learning training for “Improving Cause of Death Reporting” for the CDC’s NCHS National Vital Statistics System and was provided with the technical information that needed to be included in the E-Learning training. I used Articulate 360 as the E-Learning software to create the E-Learning tutorial and score the quizzes section and I created various custom HTML5 animations using Abode Animate that I embeded into the E-Learning project including the opening animation of the (ECG) as well as various other instructional animations such as how to properly fill of the offical Cause of Death Reporting documents. This was an instructional course intended to provide Medical Physicians with reaccreditation training on improving thier cause of death reporting for the CDC’s National Vital Statistics System.
